The family property has existed since the middle of the 19th century. Four families have succeeded each other over time, the most recent being the Ballande family who took over the vineyard in 2018. Location
The estate is located in the commune of Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, south of Saint Emilion, neighbor of the Grand Cru Classé Château Monbousquet. The Palais Cardinal property takes its name from the sumptuous residence built in the 12th and 13th centuries, renamed “Palais Cardinal” when it was enlarged in the 14th century by Cardinal Gaillard de la Motte.
