The origin of the name "De Bensse" dates back to the 17th century. Nicolas De Bensse was a squire in the Order of Saint-Louis. This Order was created by Louis XIV to reward Catholic officers. The Château de Bensse is the building of the Vieux Colombiers winery which now hosts our vineyard teams.
