Presentation

For nearly 95 years, winemakers have gathered within the Cave Coopérative de Clessé to work closely with their terroir. In this dynamic of continuous improvement, the cellar created two emblematic estates: Domaine La Troupe and Domaine Du Quart Préaux. Domaine de La Troupe, with its Marie cuvée launched in 2017, is based on a family plot of 5 hectares with old vines, planted on clay-limestone soils. This cuvée was quickly recognized, winning three gold medals in 2017 and 2018. Domaine Du Quart Préaux, created in 2018 by Sébastien Girard, embodies the group's desire to further enhance the local terroir. Working in sustainable viticulture, vinifications favor long fermentations and aging on fine lees, bringing beautiful aromatic complexity and silky texture to the wines. These estates are part of a philosophy respectful of nature, seeking to magnify the expression of Chardonnay, the king grape of the Mâconnais, while ensuring high-quality production.
