PERACLOS 2022

Presentation

Presentation
Péraclos is a typical wine from the AOC Montagne Saint-Emilion. The classic blend is mainly composed of Merlot, complemented by Cabernets. The sun on the label pays tribute to the sunny terroir of the village of Montagne, located opposite that of Saint-Emilion. It is therefore a round and generous wine that offers a lot of indulgence.
The vintage
This vintage is exceptional. Despite the hot summer temperatures and low rainfall, the harvest was of high quality and produced wines that are both rich and elegant.
Terroir
The village of Montagne is built on the plateau of Saint-Emilion, it overlooks all the hillsides and valleys that support the vineyard. Charming and elegant, the wines of the appellation are supported by powerful tannins that nonetheless remain supple.
Winemaking
Traditional winemaking with controlled temperatures. Rackings are carried out to optimize and enhance the extraction of fruit, color, richness, and roundness of the wine.
Ageing
We have used an alternative wooding ageing, which allows to completely control the woody notes, so that they remain discreet, while providing smoothness and fruity notes. This is complemented by aging in concrete vats, which allows to preserve the freshness of the wine and the expression of the fruit.

Advice

Serving
16-18°C
Tasting
With a deep ruby colour, this wine reveals an expressive nose of ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry) intertwined with subtle spicy notes, enhanced by a delicate touch of vanilla and fine oak.
On the palate, the attack is smooth and velvety, giving way to a well-structured body where fine, silky tannins blend harmoniously with the discreet barrel aging. The wine is well-balanced, supported by a lovely freshness and a lingering finish with subtle toasted accents.
Food pairings
Enjoy with herb-crusted lamb, roasted root vegetables, or a wild mushroom tart. It also complements semi-hard cheeses like Tomme de Savoie or a mature Gouda. For dessert, try it with a dark chocolate fondant or a cherry clafoutis.
