Domaine Stéphane Murat

Nestled in the heights of the Côte de Nuits, between Gevrey-Chambertin and the Corton forest, Stéphane Murat passionately cultivates a 10-hectare vineyard in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The estate’s story began in the early 2000s when he inherited a 1.5-hectare family parcel planted by his father in the 1970s. Over the years, he has steadily expanded the domaine, building a range of wines that reflect the richness and diversity of Burgundy’s terroirs.

In both the vineyard and the cellar, Stéphane Murat embraces a hands-on, artisanal approach guided by precision, observation, and respect for the fruit. His goal is to reveal the unique identity of each parcel through careful winemaking and restrained ageing, allowing the character of the grape varieties and terroirs to shine through.

From the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits to Marsannay, Beaune, and Pernand-Vergelesses, the wines of the estate are appreciated for their freshness, balance, and authenticity. Each cuvée reflects a family heritage and a sincere vision of Burgundy, where elegance, precision, and terroir expression remain at the heart of every bottle.
