At Château de la Liquière, the Vidal-Dumoulins juggle 60 hectares, 70 plots, and 50 cuvées to craft 10 wines—because why not make winemaking a logistical masterpiece? Certified organic for over 15 years, they work classic Faugères schist to create wines that balance elegance and freshness in a region known for raw power. With roots from the 1700s, they’ve turned family tradition into a schist-driven symphony since the 1960s.

Presentation
La Fabrique is the wine equivalent of a rebel with a cause. Denied the AOP Faugères badge because it dared to highlight Carignan blanc and the outlawed Terret, it shrugged off the red tape and waved the Pays d’Oc flag instead. And let’s face it, rules are for the paperwork, not the palate. This wine is proof that sometimes bending the rules tastes a whole lot better. Cheers to that!
Terroir
The vineyard is nestled on schist soils at altitudes ranging from 250 to 350 meters, typical of the Languedoc’s rugged terrain. These nutrient-poor, well-drained soils enhance the natural minerality of the wine while the Mediterranean climate and cooling altitude preserve its freshness and aromatic intensity. The unique synergy of these elements shapes a wine that expresses both the strength of its origins and a refined elegance.
Winemaking
The grapes are hand-picked with great care to retain their pristine quality. After harvest, the wine is aged in 500-liter barrels to bring depth and complexity while respecting the delicate aromas of the varietals. Each step of the process focuses on precision and balance, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir to shine through without overbearing influence from the winemaking techniques.
