Since the 13th century, the Pontaud family have been farmer growers in the villages of Gaujac and Laudun. Over the generations, they have contributed to the expansion, development, and modernisation of the family estate. The farms originally focused on growing fruits and vegetables, but reached a significant turning point thanks to Virgile, the Mayor of Gaujac and founder of the Cooperative Cellar. Under his management the farm was converted in part into a vineyard.

Advice

Serving
Ideal serving temperature: from 16°C to 18°C
Tasting
Beautiful garnet-red colour with purple hues. The nose reveals complex aromas of over-ripe fruits, liquorice, violets, and black pepper. The attack is pleasantly frank on the palate, the wine is well-structured but also refined and round with long-lasting aromas for the finish.
