Since 1980, Domaine de Beaurenard, property of the Coulon family, has also been cultivating a vineyard on stepped hillsides in the Rasteau appellation. On these sharp terroirs surrounded by vast swathes of woodland and garrigue, biodynamic farming reveals its full expression.
The vintage
2019 vintage is in line with the top vintages of the decade. After a nice winter, spring came slowly, where our famous wind “Mistral” helped keep very healthy environments in the vineyard during that important growing season.
Terroir
Ground clay and limestone gravel (with many white pebbles rolled) on a particularly well-exposed hillsides. It is characterized by small clusters very concentrated.
In the vineyard
They are of course manual, advanced and mature enough to have sugar, but before the grapes are "wilted", so that the fruit is very present in the finished wines
Winemaking
